Black Panther Wakanda Forever pushes Disney to record high numbers in the box office, that the company has only witnessed a few times in the past. The Disney studio is already past its entire total compared to the numbers the studio saw last year.
With over $3 billion in total box office gross sales for Disney, this has only happened 13 times in the past.
According to the Numbers the worldwide numbers for Wakanda forever 2022 are already at $400,412,568!
What’s also shocking on the movie going front is that AMC CEO Adam Aron announced a few days ago that “AMC WELCOMED MORE THAN 4.9 MILLION GUESTS TO OUR THEATRES GLOBALLY THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. WE SET A U.S. RECORD FOR THE BIGGEST NOVEMBER MOVIE OPENING IN AMC’S 102 YEAR HISTORY.”
The movie theaters have been quite busy this year, with numerous records already being shattered this year. One thing to keep in mind is that 2022 was the first year that for the most part all movie theaters have been open since the mass lockdowns during the pandemic. This data shows us that the appetite for movie going is alive and well, but next year in 2023 will show the truth in the numbers since it will be the first year that things are completely “back to normal”
